Nick Fisher - Managing Director & Principal Teacher
Nick's interest in music started at a young age, finding it not only to be immense fun but also a great source of expression and escapism.
In 1983, aged nine, he began piano lessons and later developed an interest in electronic keyboard instruments. This passion for music turned
into a career as a music teacher and subsequently an Examiner, Demonstrator and Regional Instructor for Yamaha.
Regularly travelling around the country, Nick also conducts teacher training seminars and presentations to Primary Schools. He also has several music arrangements published in tuition books, some of which are included in the Trinity Guildhall examination syllabi. The main driving force behind Nick's work was the goal of one day owning and running his own music school to provide children with a place to learn and share in the joys of music. This was achieved in 1997 when he opened Nick Fisher Music, a music shop and school, dedicating the music school to the memory of his mother Heather, who passed away in 1982. Today, the music school is used by hundreds of students from the age of five upwards.
